Strategy Workshop
17 October 2024
Your online guide for a sucessful day with colleagues
Workshop background and objectives
Why are we holding this workshop?
The Society needs a refreshed and robust strategy to help us prioritise our activity from 2026 to 2030.
To achieve this, and given the success and relevance of our current strategy, the BSI Board of Trustees has agreed that our next strategy is to be an evolution of the current 2021-2025 strategy.
In October 2024, the Board of Trustees and other key members of BSI governance will be meeting for an away day, to develop the new strategy.
This is an opportunity for attendees to:
- Share their feedback and thoughts on the existing strategy.
- Consider how the existing strategy could and should be evolved for the future.
- Consider and discuss other potential elements for our next strategy.
What will happen on the day?
There will be a mix of activities to enable successful and energetic collaboration, including:
- Group exercises with physical tools such as post-its and whiteboards
- Group exercises with digital tools
- Individual exercises with physical or digital tools
- Discussions
- Voting
- Quizzes
What are the intended outputs?
At the end of the day, we intend to come away with the following:
- Trustee feedback on the existing strategy.
- Trustee thoughts and guidance on our strategy for the coming years.
- Elements that we should remove and elements that we should add.
- Trustees' view on our priorities for the coming years.
